Bug Description

I have been trying to upgrade my dual boot system which has v18 and XP to v20 + XP. no luck.

I cloned the old setup to a new drive and tried various ways to install 20 from a usb drive.

Somehow setup is not recognising XP.

1. I deleted the old ubuntu drive and fixed the XP MBR issue. XP loads ok but installing v20 did not recognise the XP installation. I tried the proposed fix in XP by running chkdsk in administrator mode but no luck.

2.I tried to install on top of v18 on the fully working clone. The setup was only able to see v18. It did not see the XP. system started to install but failed eventually.

hope you can help
