Bug Description

Hi all,

1) I bought a new HP Pavilion 15-cs3075wm,(pre-install windows 10 Home, i7, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) notebook, without any fingerprint & touchscreen.

2) I wanted to install Ubuntu/Elementary OS on it as dual boot. I created 20 GB partition for Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS/Elementary OS Hera 5.1 installation. I tried to install ubuntu/Elementary OS multiple times but in vein.

3) Every time, during installation, I always found error message 'Executing 'grub-install/dev/nvme0n1' failed. This is a fatal error.

4) After every such failure, I removed the Ubuntu installer USB & I rebooted my laptop to windows 10.

5) During my last ubuntu installation attempt,I faced the same problem, I reboot my laptop & found that I was unable to boot into my windows 10.

6)I found the message "your PC/Device needs to be repaired.
An unexpected error has occurred.
Error code: 0xc0000017.
you will need to use recovery tools.

7) I again tried to fix it using startup troubleshoot but found a message:-
"...Operating System couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contain errors. File:\windows\system32\boot\winload.efi. Error code: 0xc0000225.

8) I expected to boot at least into my windows 10.

9) At the end, I am unable to boot into Windows 10.

Hope I will get effective & prompt solution/s from someone.

Regards,

Satander
