During an install on my HP Omen, grub failed to install

I note

disk-by\x2dpartlabel-Microsoft\x5cx20reserved\x5cx20partition.device appeared twice with different sysfs paths /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:17.0/ata2/host1/target1:0:0/1:0:0:0/block/sdb/sdb3 and /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:17.0/ata1/host0/target0:0:0/0:0:0:0/block/sda/sda3

Have you cloned one disk to another? but not changed the UUIDs?

A quick glance makes it look to me like you have created a condition that should NOT exist and this is a warning of problems down the road.
