It is trying to install on the wrong partition as the installation is done from USB-drive

Thank you for your bug report, it's a known problem and there are several similar reqport like bug #1571354 or bug #1647714

When reading some of the other reports, they appear to involve
installation on/to an USB-drive, not from a USB to a harddrive.
Any way, being new to ubuntu I solved it by booting from a live usb and
download / install GRUB from scratch.
Also, being new, I might not have understood the other reports proper.
But upp and rnning so alls well for me.
