Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use entire disk" guided install option.

How do I boot the installer in bios mode?

That varies from system to system. You can delete the EFI directory on the USB stick though to make sure that it CAN'T be booted in EFI mode again.

When i press f9 it gives me two options 1.boot usb in uefi mode
2.boot usb (i think the second option is legacy though I'm not sure just a
guess)

Legacy. As I said before, the problem is that you did boot in UEFI mode, but your disk isn't set up for that.

No; it is just that your disk needs reformatted to work in UEFI and your existing operating systems will also need reinstalled in UEFI mode.
