Your EFI system partition is corrupt; you will need to repair it with either dosfsck or Windows' chkdsk/scandisk.

Earlier I got the error executing grub-install /dev/sda failed and as advised by you I ran chdsk. I tried to reinstall Ubuntu. But now this error is coming. Details: https://askubuntu.com/questions/934415/ubuntu-16-04-grub-efi-amd64-signed-failed-to-install-into-target-error

You ran chkdsk on your C: drive, not your ESP.

Thanks a lot Phillip Susi Sir, I ran CHKDSK on ESP and then tried installing Ubuntu, it worked fully and I installed the OS successfully. Thanks once again.
