Bug Description

I have rebuilt my computer installing a new motherboard (Gigabyte FM2 UEFI) and a new processor ( AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G × 4 - Graphics: Gallium 0.4 on AMD KAVERI (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.6.2)) The disks (four) are mostly from the old system, the Home folder is moved to another disk. The installation has been on top of the old (not UEFI, at least originally) partition. I have had trouble with this installation giving grub errors recently.

I am about to try and erase and reinstall, but the problem may be worth a look to see if it is a bug

I am installing Ubuntu 15.10 from a live USB that seems to be running well.

The last installation on the new machine worked reasonably fine for about a month and then began to show problems with intermittent errors when I tried to boot in. This time it gave me a grub error.

I also had an error that said I had no such device with a UUID that ( after using the blkid command )seems to indeed not exist, at least under that UUID - very strange.

I tried to reinstall previously and it worked for about a week, but today it gave up again telling me I had a bad grub.

I am now going to try an erase and install and hope that will solve the problem, but if this is a bug, I suspect it is something you should be aware of.
