14.04 install, amd cpu, 16GB ram, 2nd of 3 sata drives failed with grub install

Trying to install ubuntu 14.04 beta on 2nd of 3 sata drives on my system
the installation just failed and presented a Bug Report menu.

Not sure what more I can add other that what may automagically be uploaded by the bug.
