The ubuntu 12.04 flavours (kubuntu, linux mint 13) produced that same error.
Linux mint 14.1 managed to get installed without any issues.
Is it possible to update the ubuntu 12.04.2 installer?

I tried to install the boot loader on sda6 (/boot).
only linux mint 14.01 managet to be installed.
It would be nive to have an updated 12.04 LTS without this bug.
