Two new test builds -- one by me, and one by lamont -- have both
succeeded. In case this is a crazy intermittent failure, I'm leaving the
bug open for now, and I'll look at it more a bit later, but I'm suspecting
cosmic rays. :)

I cannot reproduce it here either. I think we can safely consider it the
usual moon ray hitting the console cable during a solar ecplipse.
