gqrx crash on startup with SIGSEGV in gr::funcube::fcdpp::make()

After installing Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and installing gqrx ("gqrx-sdr") from the repositories, gqrx crashes consistently on startup. It worked fine on 21.10. The SDR is a Funcube Pro+.

I raised a bug on github gqrx-sdr: https://github.com/gqrx-sdr/gqrx/issues/1120

At the moment, it looks as if the gqrx-sdr package is unusable due to a change in gr-funcube.

Hi,

I'm the maintainer of Gqrx. As noted in https://github.com/gqrx-sdr/gqrx/issues/1120#issuecomment-1107676551, the crash occurs in the gr-funcube package, and might be due to a faulty Debian patch made to that package. So this isn't a Gqrx bug per se, although it does prevent Gqrx from starting when a Funcube Dongle input is selected.

Thanks for reporting the bug. I tried to reproduce the issue on latest 22.04.4 and did not see the issue. On my system I am seeing the application window is displayed.
Can you please try again on 22.04.4 and see if you can reproduce the issue. And if its reproducible then please give the steps to reproduce it.

GQRX 2.17.4 works OK on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. I think we can cancel the bug report. Thanks for looking into this.
