Bug Description

Setting changes made inside gpointer-device-settings should stay between boots. Currently I need to enable two-finger scrolling each and every time I boot. It would be helpful to either make these setting changes permenantly, or tell the user how this can be achieved (possibly in the man page).

I would really appreciate if there was a way to make the changes permanent. Running ubuntu 12.04 on Thinkpad X220.

Here's what worked for me - after installing gpointing-device-settings, I use the mouse and touchpad settings from the ubuntu system settings and enabled two finger scrolling from there. These settings seems to stay after boot.

This package has been removed from the Ubuntu development release, so I am closing all remaining open bug reports.

Sorry that we couldn't fix your problem properly, but gpointing-device-settings is dead upstream, buggy and completely unmaintained.

Thank you for your understanding and please continue to report any bugs you may find.
