Taps continue even after tapping is disabled

Bug Description

The built-in mouse configuration application in Lubuntu 13.04 didn't seem to permit configuration of tapping, disable-while-typing or palm detection.

I therefore installed gpointing-device-settings which seemed to have these configuration options.

Unfortunately, even when tapping is disabled using the checkbox, taps are still generated by my touchpad. I suspect also that the disable-while-typing/palm detection behaviour is also not operating when selected, although this is a bit harder to tell.

The auto-generated information may not have recorded that this is a Dell Q15R (also known as N5110). The output of /proc/bus/input/devices is below. Happy to do more investigation to properly identify the touchpad if you share how I can do this.
