gpodder cannot be installed properly for Kubuntu

Binary package hint: gpodder
I am using Kubuntu and tried to install gpodder. installation worked. however
it is not possible to start the application. Starting the application on the
command line i am getting the following error:

Please try using one of the GNOME icon themes - it could be that the currently-selected (KDE) icon theme is missing a specific icon (as the error message suggests).
