gPodder 0.17.0 downloads text files

Binary package hint: gpodder

gPodder 0.17.0 downloads text files instead of audio files. This problem did not exist in the previous version of gPodder. I have observed that only podcasts downloaded from http://www.blogtalkradio.com are affected.

I cannot reproduce this bug here (downloaded the last 6 episodes from this feed: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/feed/featuredtoday).

Can you please try to reproduce this bug with the development version? Instructions can be found at http://wiki.gpodder.org/wiki/Running_gPodder_from_Git

I'm not too sure if it's a good idea for me to run a development release, as that *might* bring about unforeseen circumstances.

I tried the feed you listed in comment #3, but I was able to download all files just fine with the development version of gPodder. If you can't get it working with 0.17.0, please try the development version or wait for the next release. Thanks :)

Hi, just an update:

I'm testing Ubuntu 10.04 now, which comes with gpodder 2.0. I'm using the same configuration directory (my Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04 share the same home directory) and everything seems to be fine now. So, I can confirm that this bug did exist in gpodder 0.17.0, which has been fixed in gpodder 2.0.
