2019-05-28 21:44:08 Rizlaw description Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS. gpodder ver. 3.10.1. A few days ago gpodder stopped auto downloading youtube videos in my podcast list. Other podcasts, downloaded via rss feeds work fine. I have my ver 3 youtube API key installed correctly and up to now have had no problems with youtube videos being downloaded. See attached screenshot for HTTP error reported by gpodder. Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS. gpodder ver. 3.10.1. A few days ago gpodder stopped auto downloading youtube videos in my podcast list. See attached screenshot for HTTP error reported by gpodder. 5/28/19: I found a claimed patch for problem on github: https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder/issues/625#issuecomment-496346645 I tried it but it did not work for me. Gpodder would not start after applying the patch to the 2 python files mentioned. I triple checked my work and it looked correct. I guess I'll have to wait for update to gpodder.

See attached screenshot for HTTP error reported by gpodder. 5/31/19: I found a working patch for problem on github: https://github.com/gpodder/gpodder/issues/625#issuecomment-496346645 It's necessary to read ALL the comments so that you apply the patch correctly. I used the "patch" command with the 626 patch file downloaded from Github as per "auouymous's"initial post. I found that the patch worked with the "youtube.py" file, but not the "util.py" file. Then I read the additional new posts and realized it was especially important to heed the remarks of poster named "Ploddles" regarding spacing and retyping the ":" in the additional lines of new code. Once I did all of the above everything worked perfectly and gpodder 3.10.1 once again was able to download youtube videos. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
