This might be mainstream bug:

Some poeple says the problem is in youtube.py file line 119 but the fix didn't work for me.

Sorry, after some testing I found that the fix works but it took some time to start downloading:
From zonum comment:
I temporary fixed the problem, I Just modified the line 119 adding '#' before '+ video_info['sig'][0]'

Can confirm this bug in Ubuntu 14.04.

Workaround mentioned by Usama works for me.
