Bug Description
Hi,
My photo camera cannot be used anymore with versions of ubuntu further than 6.06. When I connect it, an error message appears (in french) :
Impossible de monter Nikon Corp. Coolpix SQ (ptp)
Erreur lors de l'initialisation de l'appareil photo: -1: Erreur indéfinie
My translation :
Unable to mount Nikon Corp. Coolpix SQ (ptp)
Error when initializing camera: -1: Undefined error
In syslog :
[92069.389497] usb 4-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4
[92069.579508] usb 4-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[92075.107569] usb 4-2: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd gvfsd-gphoto2 rqt 128 rq 6 len 1000 ret -110
[92076.111090] usb 4-2: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd gvfsd-gphoto2 rqt 128 rq 6 len 1000 ret -110
If I start with 6.06.1 livecd, I can extract the pictures without problem.
Regards
this bug annoys me too, seems to have found a workaround, though i don't really know what's happening :
mounting and unmounting the device (an iPhone 3g, under ubuntu 8.10) using Su's XVM VirtualBox seems to help Nautilus to mount the device again...
