resize of ntfs fails on hibernated partition

Binary package hint: gparted on Edgy

gparted allows resizeing of a hibernated ntfs partition. Gparted first changes the size of the partition and then trys to run ntfsresize, which refuses to do its work on a hibernated ntfs partition. Therefore you get left with a not correctly resized partition.

Somthing like a precheck might be useful.

Thanks for you bug report. Which particular version of gparted did you notice this in? You can find out by executing 'dpkg -l gparted' in a terminal.

This should be 0.2.5-1.1ubuntu11. The bug occurred using the ubuntu installation tool contained in dekstop live system.

I tested it using jaunty alpha 5 and it refused to connvert. So for my view this is fixed.
