Copying huge NTFS partitions never finishes due to a bug in formatting ntfsclone's output _after_ it successfully finished the operation. This is fixed upstream and expected to be included in GParted's 0.5.2 release.

As this seems to be a common use case I'm asking you to consider applying following commit to fix this bug if it's not planned to include 0.5.2 in Lucid: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gparted/commit/?id=260e0ea1902e066bfe233e4a505ae800755572bc

Problem confirmed upstream, and I can't find that patch in the lp:ubuntu/gparted branch, so might be good to include it (or maybe bring GParted 0.5.2 in Lucid, but it's probably too late for that?).

Applying the patch does not need release team interaction.

If you want to update gparted to 5.2, please submit the data for a FFE approval (upstream changelog, list of new features, impact on lucid, etc.)

As version 0.5.2 is not yet released I obviously can't add any data.
