Bug Description

Source package: google-perftools
Source package version to sync: 1.4-3
sync from: Debian sid main

http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/google-perftools

This requires a new library, libunwind, to be added to Ubuntu. Perhaps that's why this sync didn't happen automagically?

Thanks!

Please note how libunwind7 is only required on ia64. This might be a packaging bug in google-perftools.

libunwind (0.99-0.2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * debian/control: Fix "libunwind7 is not required on all archs but ia64"
    The priority was erroneously set high. (Closes: #543346)
  * i386 libraries are now provided. (Closes: #275639)
  * debian/rules: use dpatch.
  * debian/patches/090828-rpath.dpatch: fixed the rpath issue.

Also we're at 0.98-1ubuntu1 of google-perftools which indicates an Ubuntu change that might need to be merged manually: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/Merging

As pointed out by Daniel, this package probably needs to be merged from Debian. Please prepare a merge or outline why the ubuntu changes can be dropped. Once this is done ubuntu-universe-sponsors should be re-subscribed. Unsubscribing the universe-sponsor team for now.
