Bug Description

As soon as Google Desktop opens, it closes. Occasionally it will stay open for a couple seconds, but will close.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 Beta 64-bit with the latest updates as of about 7:30 PM EST.

Here is the formal stuff as per the text below my input box:

1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

2) apt-cache policy google-gadgets-common
google-gadgets-common:
  Installed: 0.10.5-0.2ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.10.5-0.2ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.10.5-0.2ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) I expected Google Gadgets to stay open.

4) Google Gadgets closes immediately after opening.
