flashing with ubuntu-device-flash doesnt work

Bug Description
I am trying to flash my Nexus 4 with the following command:
ubuntu-device-flash --revision=220 touch --channel=
And the problem is, that it only works 1 out of 20 times.
In 19 of 20 times i get the following:

deleting all files in /cache/recovery doesn't help
Here is an example:
(I didnt change anything in the two second between the unsuccessful and the successful run)
