ubuntu-emulator requires root privileges

Bug Description

I don't know why ubuntu-emulator currently has to be run as root, but that requirement is enough to keep me from using it. Sure would be nice if an unprivileged user could use it, just as they can virtualbox, kvm, and qemu.

It's because it composes the image (just like a debbootstrap would in some sense). Ideally the SDK could provide pre built images for you to use.

Sergio, are you suggesting that an image cannot be composed with fakeroot or fakechroot?
