Bug Description
The WWAN card from Qucalcomm which uses qcserial driver and gobi loader does not work properly when GPS and Wireless WAN is used same time.
What happend: When connected to internet and the GPS feature was enabled, the WWAN will be disconnected randomly after some time. That would be not so annoying if the GPS still would work, but as I can see from syslog: qcserial usb module was disconnected, reloaded and registered as new Device ID.
What expected: GPS and WWAN works same time.
Tested already: WWAN works fine alone, when GPS is not enabled. Also only GPS works fine without interruptions when used without WWAN.
To track problem I do following steps:
1.) firmware was installed and gobi_loader loading the firmware
1.) connect to internet via WWAN and Network Manager
2.) starting for example xgps to see when gps is working (but could be also other gps program)
3.) activate via root terminal the gps module with command "echo "\$GPS_START" > /dev/ttyUSB2" -> xgps is receiving gps data
4.) WWAN connection is immediately disconnected, sometimes after mintues, but it is not stable anymore
5.) xgps receives no more data
