Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnusound

Just installed it on Xubuntu, tried to start it up but it never came further than an empty window. The bugreport shows something about an assertion error with a buffer overflow. Other sound programs work perfectly.

Thank you for reporting this bug and for the supporting documents.

I attempted this in a VirtualBox installation, with the results that each time I attempt to start Gnusound, the machine restarts immediately.

Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
