Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnuplot

gnuplot 4.4 supports the tikz via the lua terminal. it would be great, if support for this could be enabled.

Suport seems to be upstream already. Meeds to be compiled with "--with-lua".

Here's a patch from debian bug report.
Hope it can be applied to ubuntu asap.

gnuplot 4.4.3 enables lua terminal by default, so there is no need for a patch if gnuplot is updated to the last version, except that liblua would be necessary.

gnuplot has been updated to 4.4.3-0ubuntu1 in oneiric, but the build-deps has not been updated.

Here's some information from the build log:

checking for LUA... no
configure: WARNING: Could not find support for lua using pkg-config.
....
  lua/TikZ terminal: no
....

This bug was fixed in the package gnuplot - 4.4.3-0ubuntu2
