First of all, you need to install language support for "es" locale in ubuntu and then you should be able to start gnucash in that locale without restarting GNOME with this command : LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 gnucash If you can still reproduce that issue, can you set back the status of the bug report to "New" and give more information?
