Bug Description

It took me a while to figure out why my Gnucash has no online banking option. That was partly not the package's fault but my own google-fu's, but I did look at the package description. Since HBCI support is one of Gnucash's selling points, I think the make should at least hint at it.

Sorry, I should have tried before filing a bug: even after installing aqbanking-tool and assorted dependencies, Gnucash does not show the option in the Tools menu as per the doc. So maybe the missing dependency was on purpose. But in this case, why?

Dunno how that typo got into my initial comment: "I think the make should at least hint at it" should have been "I think the _package _description should at least hint at it"

Thanks for your bug report.

Gnucash can't be compiled with aqbanking3 to get HBCI support yet because the source code is not ready yet. This is a already known issue upstream and gnucash developers are already working on it : http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/AqBanking3_Porting

Gnucash could have HBCI support with some other libraries but these libraries does not has good licence so it is "illegal" to use these libraries.
