Bug Description

After upgrading to 14.04 from 12.04, I noticed that gnucash is not working as expected. The program will not respond at all to backspace or delete, making it hard to add new entries or edit existing ones. Also, when enetering text, if I try to enter a capital letter, it initally doesn't register the keypress, but if I try again, I see the capital letter. Lowercase text doesn't have a problem.

Installing the package "ibus-gtk" and restarting the ibus daemon fixed the problem for me.

This bug also affect GnuCash running on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS -- it may affect multiple desktops--I am using the Mate desktop.
