Bug Description

Taking a web screenshot from the url

http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de

works as aspected.

But taking a web screenshot from a deeper link of this site like this

http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88

doesn't work. It loads and loads and loads and loads......

Using 0.86.2-24.1(openSUSE 11.3, home:swyear package)

(But strange thing is I tried with a long google search url like
http://www.google.de/#hl=de&source=hp&q=shutter&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=23ab45853b9e610e
or other urls like shown in the beginning and these ones work perfect!?! And the mentioned domain above don't have server errors or something like that....)

Thanks for reporting this issue. Shutter is using gnome-web-photo to take screenshots of webpages. This bug needs to be fixed in the gnome-web-photo package.

Here is a simple command to test the described behaviour:
gnome-web-photo --mode=photo 'http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88' test.png

Changed in shutter:
status: New → Invalid

Hmmm, why I can use this gnome-web-photo command in konsole successfully!? Here it works and in shutter it loads and loads and loads on that mentioned url... strange...

Really? I can't use that command successfully (Ubuntu 10.04). It never stops.

Try executing shutter with debug parameter (--debug). The gnome-web-photo command that Shutter uses will be printed to STDOUT. Then try exactly this command via konsole, please.

ok, it's getting strange(r) here:

1) shutter is using that command which doesn't work (it never stops on konsole): gnome-web-photo --timeout=0 --mode=photo --format=png --width=1024 'http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88' '/tmp/G0hOQ0680h'

1) That command on konsole works: gnome-web-photo --mode=photo 'http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88' foo.png

2) don't work (never stops): "gnome-web-photo --mode=photo --format=png 'http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88' bla.png"

3) don't work (gets the following error): gnome-web-photo --mode=photo --timeout=10 'http://www.genobank-unterallgaeu.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=75&Itemid=88' bla.png
error: Load timed out; consider using --force or increasing the timeout (use 0 for no timeout)
