Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Sebastien Bacher. I found a similar thread from the upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=779897 (bug number 779897)

I commented the thread and linked to our very Launchpad report as well.

I have the same problem, but for me i think it is the locale with Swedish åäö characters that does not seem to work

Does this need to get refiled against libgweather in order to get this issue fixed? I can confirm that building local libgweather_3.36.1-2~ubuntu20.04.1 packages with the four patches referenced in comment 6 eliminates this bug.

Please note, Bugzilla is migrating to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME, therefore no issues can be reported on Bugzilla.
May someone from Ubuntu-devs just upload the fix or why does it take four years to clear this? Thanks.
