Bug Description

Some USB removable devices are not automounting as they used to.
Specifically, memory cards (SD and MS) in a generic card reader and a 1GB Kingston pendrive.
They used to automount normally before (the last I did it was 2 weeks ago).
CDs are automounting normally.

When I "plugged" the mount applet in gnome-panel, this behaviour stopped.
Now it's all working fine. You can close it.

i have the same issues, but adding mount applet to the gnome-panel doesn't help. The USB devices are recognised by hal, but aren't automounted, if i mount it maualy with pmount-hal /dev/<<device or partition>> it mounts as it should.
I should state that the same devices worked in feisty.

I'm using latest gutsy.

There are other people havig the same issues:

If i can help in any other way, just ask ;)

This could be the same problem I found in bug #132349 (and see also bug #131107). Deleting /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/gparted-disable-automount.fdi and rebooting fixed it for me. So it might be a problem related to gparted and not gnome-volume-manager.
