Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-voice-control

I recently wanted to add speech recognition capabilities to my Ubuntu operating system, version 8.04.1 Hardy Haron LTS. So I installed the package: gnome-voice-control, version 0.2-0ubuntu5. When I tried to add this applet to my top panel, an error message displayed: "The panel encountered a problem while loading 'OAFIID: Gnome_VoiceControlApplet." I have a screenshot of what I mean. I have an Acer Extensa, Model 4620Z. I am unsure if this is a hardware problem or not.
