Moving files across partitions not possible

Bug Description
When I move a file using Nautilus from one partition to another I get the error message "Error 'Not on the same file system' when moving file ..." (translated from German).
A similar error occurs when I want to move a file to trash, which is not on my $HOME partition.
I am using Breezy and the problem exists on several different machines.
