System Log Viewer displays nothing

Bug Description
When launching System Log Viewer from "Application" Unity panel result is only a white window but all menus seems to work (i am using "report a bug" one now).

Thanks for the report which is a dupe of Bug #841085.
As a workaround open from the menu file -> open and select from /var/log preferred log file.
