Bug Description

gnome-screenshot shows a flash effect *after* screenshot dialog is shown, 6-7 seconds after pressing PrintScreen.

Flash effect should be immediate, as it is visual feedback to pressing PrintScreen.
Screenshot dialog should be displayed within 2 seconds of pressing PrintScreen.

I get similar behavior in my Oneiric install, but the delay is closer to 1 second for me.

I'm on 12.04 and it is similar to Chris, the screen/window flashes once, dialog appears, then another flash happens after 1 second delay
