selection mark is visible on screenshot

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

If I take a screenshot of a part of the screen with Libreoffice shown on it. The selection mark (an orange overlay) is visible on the screenshot. I'll attach a screenshot to clarify what I mean.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. On Oneiric I don't see this issue.

I can confirm this issue for Oneiric on x64. The top half of the screenshot will still contain the shading box. It seems like allowing for an extra delay of even 50 ms would solve this…

This image shows the problem most-succinctly. When I try to select this palette on the web, the top half of the image is still capturing the selection box.
