"select area to grab" functionality broken because it includes the 'area shadow'

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-utils
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run gnome-screenshot -i
2. Choose "Select area to grab" option
3. Select area (as you do this there is visual indication of the area)
4. Look at the file - note that the shaded area is included in the image produced

I think this is only a problem when using compiz (I didn't get the problem under metacity).
