Default spanish setting no longer works

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

es.dict.org is down for two years (per https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183867), why is still available in default when it is clear that it does not work?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 11.10 with gnome-dictionary 3.1.2.

1. Install gnome-dictionary (it is no longer included by default)
2. Edit>Preferences. Select "Spanish dictionaries." Close the Preferences window.
3. Enter a word in the Lookup field.
4. After taking a moment, gnome-dictionary shows this error message:

Error while retrieving the definition
Lookup failed for host 'es.dict.org': Unknown error
