Thank you for your bug report, are you sure it doesn't open on the screen0? Do you get the same issue using other keybindings?

It does not open on screen :0.0 when cursor is on screen :0.1.

I expected it to because of gnome panel 2.26.0 problems.

Suggest a few key bindings and I'll give them a try

you can try the key to start the music player for example

I don't mean to be obtuse, but I use this computer for work, and really the only short-cut key I use is the print screen and alt-print screen. There is no music (or for all I know, a music player) on the system. There is not even a printer attached to this system.

Perhaps you could suggest a documentation page that would detail the shortcut keys and what they do, I will be pleased to do this.

Thanx…

you can open system, preferences, keybinding, click on add and add a random command and try that keybinding

Shortcut key action on screen :0.1 results

Alt-F1 does not work
Alt-F5 does not work

Alt-F4 works
Alr-F10 works
Alt-Space works
Ctl-Alt-Left/Right work

There are a number of XF86⋯⋯ shortcuts and what they are/do is outside my ken.

The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

did you open a GNOME bug about that too?

Will not upgrade to Karmic on that system at least until next year. Too risky after all the amd64 & Gnome 2.26 problems.

The bug that this one seemed directly related to was already open.

The issue should be fixed in karmic, you can reopen if you still get the issue though
