Bug Description

Version 3.8.2 on Mint 17 (Cinammon + Xfce), so same result two differnt window managers.

baobab:
  Installed: 3.8.2-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.8.2-1ubuntu1
  Version table:

Description: Linux Mint 17 Qiana
Release: 17

1) With pie chart view. It is now impossible to resize the pane. This was previously possible, and improved user experience and usability. It's now not there is a bug or a poor decision.

2) The following problem is a bug, and significantly reduces usability.
In the now fixed LHS pane with the folder tree you can initially adjust the column size. However if you then open up some of the folder depth (either directly, or by pushing down into the pie chart) the folder column will expand beyond the size chosen, eventually obscuring all the other information columns if needed by the directory width.

It's now a complete PITA to use, since you need to scroll back and forth to see anything useful.

However, closing the folder expansions so that the tree is now much smaller in width than the expanded column does not now allow a resizing of the column.

In fact the whole layout has become rigid, except that in the case of an even wider folder tree being selected it will once again push the column width as much as it needs.

i found a workaround (disclaimer .. i am a noob)
Install dconf-tools (sudo apt-get install dconf-tools) Open dconf-editor as a user (don't use sudo)

Find:

baobab
window-size change value to set to default
window-state change value to set to default
