Cannot reproduce in Ubuntu-GNOME 14.04 (latest updates)
Possibly it depends on screen resolution - which screen resolution do you have?

The latest version of gnome-user-share does not provide any GUI interface itself but is just a service that can be used by a frontend like the Settings > Sharing > File Sharing panel in gnome-control-center. Therefore, I am closing this bug.
