"To Access a remote server" documents "Browse network" which is gone

Bug #252907 reported by Colin Watson on 2008-07-29
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
gnome-user-docs (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

"To Access a remote server" (available from Places -> Connect to Server... -> Help) says "In the Connect to Server dialog, you may click on the Browse network button to close this dialog and view services available on your network in a Nautilus window." However, the "Browse network" button was removed in Ubuntu 8.04.

See also bug 252904; it might be worth finding out what the Nautilus plans are before just removing this. Nevertheless, it's inconsistent as it stands.

This seems to be fixed in Lucid Lynx, Ubuntu 10.04 - and Gnome 2.30.0. Can you confirm this? Can this bug be set to Fix Released, because with the newer version of the documentation mentioned this bug seems to be gone?

No response from original reporter and I think we can assume this is fixed based on comment #1.
