Bug Description
I was getting these any time I tried to do anything with apt:
Setting up gnome-colors-common (5.5.1-1) ...
update-

dpkg: error processing gnome-colors-common (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
No apport report written because the error message indicates its a followup error from a previous failure.

Package gnome-colors-common is not configured yet.

It turns out that apt was expecting there to be "places" subdirectories where there were none(i.e. /usr/share/
This seems to me to be some sort of dependency or package misconfiguration...
