Bug Description

I've found this warning in .xsession-errors. It seems to be the culprit:

Avertissement du gestionnaire de fenêtres : Impossible de charger le thème « Adwaita » : Ligne 119 caractère 50: Impossible de comprendre le composant de couleur « custom(wm_title_highlight,gtk:base » dans la spécification de couleur

A rough translation would be:

Window manager warning: Unable to load the « Adwaita » theme : Line 119 character 50: Unable to parse the color component « custom(wm_title_highlight,gtk:base » in the color specification

Could not aquire DBus name.

I can post more details about my setup as needed.

+1 here. This (default?) window decoration is horrible. :P

I downgraded to gnome-themes-standard-3.0.2-1~natty1 for the time being, and Adwaita works again.

I was able to duplicate this bug. However, I also was able to workaround this bug by upgrading my mutter (and clutter) to the versions in Ricotz's testing PPA.

Yes I can confirm that newer mutter works with the gnome-themes-standard 3.1.5.
I tried mutter 3.1.4 here.

However, I can also see this theme corruption with the gnome-panel (fallback for session gnome) desktop, and that does not use mutter, but metacity.

And mutter doesn't understand this, because it got added here:

We should upgrade clutter first: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clutter-1.0/+bug/828608

Then we can get mutter 3.1.4 in, which will fix this issues!

I am sorry, it does not work with "Ambiance" but with the "Adwaita" theme. I used gnome-tweak to select it, had to log off and log in and then it looked as expected.
