Bug Description
When I print tamil characters from a C program, the output is not properly displayed in the terminal. If I collect the output in a file and open the same in GNU Emacs, the tamil characters are properly shown. There is some problem with gnome-terminal w.r.t displaying tamil chars. Please check.
