I want my personal versions to be executed when they come first in my path. They always used to but that was in real UNIX or before this version of ubuntu. /home/doug/
Yes, I use tcsh but I get the same performance in bash.

The problem has gone away after the ubuntu version I'm now running was installed.
I think it's now 12-04 but I can't seem to get the machine to say that.
