menu Windows is missing - cannot find or navigate to other terminal windows

Typically when using gnome terminal there is a menu : Windows
which permits me to identify all the various open terminal windows.
Today I can open multiple terminal windows, yet cannot navigate
using a menu option. Why was this menu dropped ?
