Hello om26er, that's known upstream, and it's been that way for a while, you can track it here though: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=540023

Changed in gnome-terminal (Ubuntu):
assignee: nobody → Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs)
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Triaged
Omer Akram (om26er) wrote :

according to the comments in this bug it suggests that ctrl+click is the key in gnome-terminal is the actual way to open the link. so it might turn out to be a 'won't fix' ?

Pedro Villavicencio (pedro) wrote :

seems they're going to fix it but just being slow at it, not a high priority bug though.

Changed in gnome-terminal:
importance: Unknown → Medium
status: Unknown → Confirmed

This is the only single complaint I have with gnome-terminal is that I cannot just left-click on links to make them open. Otherwise it would be perfect.

+1 single complaint I have with Terminator... let us left click the links!
